Class Descriptions

Slow Flow is a slower paced vinyasa class. You will be lead through a sequence where the asanas (postures) are linked together with the flow of breath. This class will incorporate the heat building movement and grace of a traditional vinyasa flow class but we will be moving at a slower, more mindful pace. Come to class to build strength and flexibility in the body and a more calm, balanced mind. This is an approachable class that is suitable for all levels, especially new practitioners exploring vinyasa flow yoga. 


Weekly Guided Cave Meditation: What is guided meditation? Guided meditation is simply "meditation with the help of a guide". It’s one of the easiest ways to enter a state of deep relaxation and inner tranquility. It is one of the most powerful ways to reduce stress and allow you to experience positive personal changes. According to Deepak Chopra and many studies, meditation has been shown to reduce stress and build up inner peace. It’s one of the best tools we have to balance our emotions, deal with physical and psychological distress, and promote the peace of the present moment. Come experience guided meditation with Emmallyea , as you are led through meditations each week to bring you to a calm and peaceful state—one step at a time. 


Body By Brooke: Treat yourself to an hour of restorative toning and yoga. Emphasizing core work and ending with a calming yoga Nidra. Simple, but effective moves to help you feel and look your best. 


Rocket Yoga: An introduction of an ancient Eastern practice through the lens of a modern Western perspective. Rocket yoga is designed to do just that, ROCKET you through the Ashtanga practice. These sequences have been designed to wake up the nervous system and promote change in your practice.  Together we’ll clear energy blockages, gain strength and fight resistance in our bodies through challenging spinal twists, arm balances and back bends. Everyone is welcome, but a knowledge of basic yoga asanas would be helpful. 


Carie's Carie and Core Yoga: This class is designed to target cardio and core health as well as nutrue the mind, body and spirit. It is a balance between core exercises and cardio to both strengthen and build endurance, while at the same time increasing lung capacity and maintenance of a healthy heart with increased blood circulation. Carie will guide you through the class with positive intentions and end with a short meditation of self-love. When you take time to exercise, it's important you are more than your physical body. Classes at Salt & Soul are about whole being wellness. So if you're looking to be healthy and happy, the classes are for you! 

Reiki: A subtle and effective form of energy healing using spiritually guided life force energy (Rei-ki). It is practiced in every country of the world.  Reiki is used in many settings including spas, hospitals, hospice, as well as in private practice and in self-care. A wonderful complementary modality in a personal wellness or healing program. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. Reiki energy itself is thousands of years old.
What happens when I receive Reiki from a practitioner? While seated in a chair, or lying on a massage table, a trained Reiki practitioner will gently place their hands on or just above your body. Healing energy is transmitted through the hands, but is not guided by the practitioner. The energy has its own innate wisdom to guide itself. A Reiki session may help ease tension and stress and may help support the body to facilitate an environment for healing on all levels- physical, emotional and spiritual. A session is pleasant and relaxing and is most often utilized for one’s own personal wellness and reducing stress. 


Reiki Boost:  a bi-weekly event in the Himalayan Salt Cave. Reiki Master, Beth, will begin the event with a grounding meditation accompanied by her crystal singing bowl, crystals and tuning forks. She will then come around to each individual and perform Reiki on him or her. The time each participant receives is split among the event attendees. You will receive the benefits of Salt Therapy + the benefits of Reiki for only $10 more than a regular Salt Cave Session.


Restorative Yoga serves as a wonderful counterbalance to a society that places immense value on productivity through high activity. Long holds in supported postures, connection to breath and guided relaxation are used to gently relieve stress and tension. Highly accessible to all levels and bodies. 


KIDS: A 45 minute salt session complete with toys and fun. During this session the kids are free to play in the salt with the parents and other children. Parents must accompany kids in the cave.  


Kundalini Yoga: In Kundalini Yoga we harness the mental, physical and nervous energies of the body and put them under the domain of the will, which is the instrument of the soul. This technology precisely and consciously combines breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity and purify the blood. It brings balance to the body, mind and soul. Kundalini Yoga is for householders, for people who have to cope with the daily challenges and stresses of holding jobs, raising families and managing businesses. It is a path for everyone who wants the skills to cope successfully with the challenges of our times.


Yoga Sculpt: Yoga Sculpt is a class that incorporates hand weights and high-intensity cardio bursts for a maximum calorie burning effect! You’ll recognize all of the postures from our vinyasa yoga classes. The hand weights add a new challenge to traditional yoga classes. Yoga Sculpt also incorporates cardio exercises to get your heart pumping and your blood flowing. And of course, there’s always a challenging core workout mixed in. This class uses upbeat music to help energize and is 60 minutes long. Building muscle through this practice will help improve your everyday yoga practice as well, making more postures accessible to you with the additional strength you gain.


Vinyasa Yoga: Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement," and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and build up momentum throughout the class.

Yoga Nidra: is an ancient technique of deep relaxation and healing. Yoga Nidra translates to sleep yoga, but it is not sleep, nor is it like the yoga that most people think of. In Yoga Nidra, we lie down in Savasana while being guided through a systematic withdrawal of the senses and stimulation of different parts of the brain. The result is an extended length of period spent in the space in between waking and dreaming, called the hypnogogic state. Through this process, we uproot and transform Samskaras (deeply rooted patterns of behavior) and sow the seeds for deep healing.

Yoga Nidra has been shown to help with  anxiety, depression, stress, breaking through habitual behavior, PTSD, accelerated learning, increasing motivation, regulating hormones and glucose levels, and increasing the bodies innate healing and rejuvenating abilities. It is said that 15 minutes of Yoga Nidra is equal to 1 hour of sleep. Come and experience deep healing and rejuvenation!
