A substantial proportion of the US population has symptoms of eczema; 31.6 million with eczema, and at least 17.8 million with moderate to severe eczema or atopic dermatitis according to the National Eczema Association. It's a highly individual condition, in which each case varies and comes in many different forms. It's important is not contagious. In more common cases, the skin is dry, scaly, red and itchy. In more severe cases there may be areas of crusting and bleeding. Constant scratching causes irritation to the skin which causes it to split and bleed, opening it up to infection.

Psoriasis is a very common condition in the US, with over 3 million cases per year. It can start at any age, but most often develops in adults under 35 years old. It's a condition in which skin cells build up and form scales and itchy, dry patches. It can be chronic, lasting for years or even a lifelong condition.

Dry salt therapy can aid in reducing inflammation on the skin from these conditions. The micro particles of dry salt have favorable effects on your hair and microcirculation of the skin. The skin is a mirror to our internal body and in particular, our intestines. Since dry salt therapy kills bacteria, is anti-inflammatory and reduces IgE levels (levels of antibodies), it can help ease the symptoms of the conditions. When the IgE level is reduced, immune system doesn't have to over react in the fight against the conditions giving the body and mind more energy to heal. After spending some time in the salt room, you should be able to notice improvement to your skin. The salt is cleansing and it's purifying. It helps to remove the oils and bacteria that lead to the skin surface irritation.
